My name is Jake Fox. I have a wife named Taylor and a daughter named Hadley and a son named Sawyer. I grew up going to church about anytime the doors were open. I accepted Christ at the young age of 8 and was baptized the following week. Since then, I have grown a lot on my spiritual journey. I have had my ups and my downs, which is what makes me the man, father, and husband that I am today. I met my wife at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. We were both involved in a Christian organization called Campus Crusade for Christ. We knew each other throughout college, but we never started dating until we had both graduated and she was workingfor Cru. (Campus Crusade for Christ) We started dating in October of 2015 and we were married in October of 2016.
Taylor and I started attending Providence Church in the late summer of 2016. Since then, we have both been involved with the youth and the college ministry. We each lead a high school group for 2 years and then last year we lead the college group. I will be honest when I say that I did not expect to lead high schoolers when I arrived at Providence. I would not have considered myself as a kid person but when asked by the youth minster at the time if we would consider leading, I told him yes. I saw this as an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and serve in a way that I am not used to serving. To my great surprise, I loved it. I was able to learn so much during that time of my life, through leading those groups. This is what brings us to joining the team at Village when we heard that Providence was going to be branching off and starting a new church in north Knoxville. We were both excited and nervous. This was something out of our comfort zone, considering you can get comfortable with the church that you have been at for so long. We saw this as an opportunity once again to trust in God and leave our comfort zone. We are both extremely excited to see what God has in store for Village Church.
